TNPSC RECRUITMENT - Assistant Statistical Investigator

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission invites applications Online from interested Candidates for the following Post in the Department of  Economics and Statistics.

Name of the Post : Assistant Statistical Investigator

Pay Scale : Rs.5200 – 20200/- + GP Rs.2400/-

Educational Qualification : Degree in Statistics OR  Any one of the following degree with Statistics as an ancillary / allied subject i) Degree in Mathematics ii) Degree in Computer Science iii) Degree in Economics iv) Degree in Computer Applications OR Any Degree with Post Graduate Degree in Operations Research/ Econometrics / Mathematical Economics.

Age Limit : 18 – 30 years. For Candidates belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs BCs, BCMs and DWs of all Castes there is No upper age limit.

Selection Process ; Selection will be made in two successive stages i.e., i) Written Examination and (ii) Oral Test.

Application fee : Rs.300/- (Rupees three hundred only) be paid by all the candidates. (i.e. Cost of Application Rs. 50/- + Examination fee Rs.250/-)  Candidates can avail of the facility of one time Registration on payment of Rs.50/- towards Registration fee. The registration shall be valid for a period of Five years from the date of one time registration.

Mode of Fee Payment : i) Online Payment - candidates who wish to pay fees through the online payment gateway,   i.e. Net Banking, Credit Card and Debit card Payment, an additional page of the application form will be displayed wherein candidates may follow the instructions and fill in the requisite details to make payment.

ii) Offline Payment - For offline mode of payment candidates have to select either Post Office or Indian Bank  Branch. Click “SUBMIT” to submit the Application form. Candidates will be provided with Application Number and password. Please note down  the Application Number and password. On Submission, system will generate the payment Chelan which the candidate need to take print out and go to the nearest branch of Indian bank or the Designated Post Offices as the case may be, to make the payment.

How to Apply : Candidates are required to apply Online. Candidates need not send the printout of the online application or any other supporting  documents to the Commission at this stage. The certificates will be verified only when the candidates come up for next stage of selection.
