Qualification: Candidates should possess the qualification of 10th Pass or ITI / Centre of Excellence (COE) or equivalent. Candidates appearing at and/or awaiting results of the final examinations of 10th/ITI/COE
or equivalent on the date of application are not eligible to apply. Educational Qualification must be from Recognized Institutions/Boards, otherwise candidature will be cancelled.

Age limit: The minimum age limit is 18 years and the upper age limit is 33 year as on 01.01.2014. The upper age limit will relaxable as per rule.

Application fee: Rs. 100/- (one hundred only) payable in the form of crossed Indian Postal Order only, drawn in favour of Assistant Personnel Officer(RRC), Railway Recruitment Cell, E.C.Railway, payable at Patna. No fee for SC/ST/PWD/Ex-serviceman.

Candidate should write his name and address on the place provided on the Indian postal order (IPOs). Examination Fees is not refundable and it cannot be adjusted for another examination under any circumstances.

Selection process : Selection of candidates will be based on written test, physical efficiency test, documents and candidature verification and medical examination.

How to Apply
Candidates should submit the applications either in Hindi or in English in the format annexed as Annexure- 1 in official Notification or can also be downloaded and printed from RRC?s website www.rrcecr.gov.in. Application having any change in the format will be rejected. The application should be on good quality A-4 size bond white paper using one side only. News paper cuttings should not be used as applications.
The duly filled up application along with the required documents should be addressed to the Assistant Personnel Officer (RRC), Railway Recruitment Cell, East Central Railway, Polson Complex, Digha Ghat, Patna – 800011, Bihar by ORDINARY POST.

Selection Procedure : Selection will be based on MERIT only. First there will be Written Examination. Candidates to a limited extent, in order of merit, out of those who obtained the prescribed minimum pass marks in Written Examination will be called for Physical Efficiency Test(PET). Those who will qualify in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will have to go through the original document verification. Candidates who will found eligible after Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be called for Medical Examination of relevant standard as shown against each category of post at Page-1 of this notification. There will be no interview.

Syllabus for Examination : The question paper for the written examination shall be based on Class 10th standard consisting of multiple choice objective type questions aimed to assess General Knowledge/Awareness, Mathematics and Reasoning etc. There will be no question for checking proficiency in language. Questions will be in Hindi,English, Oriya,Urdu and Bengali.

Examination fee : Rs.40/- For General and OBC Candidates (NO Fee for SC/ST/Women/PH/minorities  and  economically  backward  classes  having  income  less  than Rs  50,000/‐  p.a) – The Examination fee should be paid in the form of crossed Demand Draft from State Bank Of India or any other Nationalized Bank or crossed IPO from any Post Office drawn in favour of the “FA&CAO, South Eastern Railway, 11 Garden Reach Road , Kolkata-700043 payable at “KOLKATA”.
