Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR) Bangalore, under Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) invites applications from the eligible candidates for filling up of Technical, Administrative posts & Skilled Support posts at IIHR Headquarters, Bangalore and at its Regional Stations, viz. CHES, Hirehalli, KVK, Hirehalli, CHES, Chettalli, KVK, Gonikoppal Karnataka and CHES, Bhubaneswar, Orissa under the Administrative Control of I.C.A.R. The posts are of permanent nature and at present, are to be filled on temporary basis. Eligible candidates apply on the prescribed application format on or before 12th December 2013.

Educational Qualifications:

Technical Assistant -  Essential - Bachelor’s degree in Hindi Language or equivalent qualification from a recognized university, with three years experience in science writing and science journalism in Hindi.
Desirable - Diploma in Journalism. Diploma in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa. Knowledge of Computer (Hindi Typing on computer).

Lower Division Clerk – Essential - 12th class or equivalent qualification from a recognized board or University. A typing speed of 35w.p.m. in English or 30w.p.m. in Hindi on computer. Desirable - 35 w.p.m. and 30 w.p.m. correspond to 10500 KDPH on an average of 5key depressions for each word)

Skilled Support Staff - Matriculation or equivalent pass (OR) ITI Pass.

Educational Qualifications:

1. Passed Madhyamik Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent. 
2. Acquisition of elementary knowledge in Computer Operation with the ability of typing on Computer at the speed of 35 W.P.M. ( English) and 25 W.P.M. (Bengali) from a reputed organization for a period not less than 6 months.

Open Competitive Examination Details: Part I and Part II

Part - I: English (30 marks),General Studies (40 marks) and Arithmetic (30 marks). The duration of Part-I Examination shall be 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Page - 11: Group-A - English and Group-B – Bengali/ Hindi/ Urdu/ Nepali carrying 50 marks each for Group – ‘A’ and Group ‘B’. and the duration of Part-II Examination shall be 1 hour.

Examination Fee:  Rs.200/- + Processing fee Rs.20/- for All categories (except Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe and Persons with Disabilities (of 40% and above only)); Only Processing Fee Rs.20/- for SC/ST/PWD Candidates.

Subject: - Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination, 2012 to be held on 21, 28 October and 4th November, 2012 — Intimation of Vacancies-reg.
I am directed to forward herewith a copy of SSC letter No, 3/4/2012- P&P-1 dated 08/10/2012, wherein it has been requested by SSC to intimate the confirmed vacancies for the post of LDC and DEO clear from all angles, for filling up from the above mentioned examination, to concern Regional of the Commission only and need not be reported to SSC (HQ), New Delhi, so that vacancies are not double reported.

All Pr. CCAs/CCAs/CAs are requested to work out the vacancy position in the grade of LDC and DEO for Direct Recruitment according to the relevant RRs/ rules and provisions of the rosters and intimate the confirmed number of vacancies in the proforma of requisition to SSC immediately under intimation to this office.
