SAIL JOBS -Attendant cum Technician (Trainee),Operator cum Technician (Trainee)

BSP invites application from young, energetic and positive minded individuals for the post of Attendant cum Technician (Trainee) and Operator cum Technician (Trainee). Details of the posts are as below :

A. Attendant cum Technician (Trainee)

No. of Posts : 358 Posts (Fitter – 193 ; Mason – 07 Posts ; Welder – 20 Posts ; Electrician – 92 Posts ; Instrument Mechanic – 08 Posts ; Machinist – 13 Posts ; Computer Operator Programming Assistant – 05 Posts ; Turner – 05 Posts ; Diesel Mechanic – 03 Posts ; Draftsman – 02 Posts ; HVD – 10 Posts)

Qualification : Matriculation with ITI from recognized institution in any of the following trades: Fitter, Mason, Welder, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Machinist, Computer Operator Programming Assistant, Turner, Diesel Mechanic, Draftsman.

For HVD Trade – Matriculation with Heavy Vehicle Driver (HVD) License having one year experience in Operation of Tipper.

Age : Minimum 18 yrs. & Maximum 28 yrs. as on 01/01/2013

Note : relaxation in age up to 40 years as on 01/01/2013 shall be admissible to ex-Trade Apprentices of Bhilai Steel Plant who have passed AITT (up to batch 75) up to the year 2001.

Training Period : The selected candidates will be placed on training for the initial period of two years.

Stipend / Pay : During training period, a consolidated pay of  Rs.8,600/- p.m. during 1st year and  Rs.10,000/- p.m. during   2nd year will be paid. After successful completion of training period, candidates will be regularized in the regular grade/ pay scale of Rs.8630- 3%-12080/- (S-1).

B. Operator cum Technician (Trainee)

No. of Posts : 579 Posts (Metallurgy – 84 Posts ; Civil – 02 Posts ; Electrical – 67 Posts ; Electrical & Electronics – 100 Posts ; Mechanical/ Mechtronics – 288 Posts ; Refractory/ Ceramic – 02 Posts ; Electronic  – 25 Posts ; Chemical – 01 Post ; Instrumentation 10 Posts)

Qualification : Matriculation with Diploma in Engineering from recognized institution in any of the following trades : – Metallurgy, Civil, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical/Mechtronics, Refractory/Ceramic, Electronic, Chemical and Instrumentation.

Age : Minimum 18 yrs. & Maximum 28 yrs. as on 01/01/2013

Training Period : The selected candidates will be placed on training for the initial period of two years.

Stipend / Pay : During training period, a consolidated pay of Rsw.10,700/- p.m. during 1st  year and  Rs.12,200/- p.m. during 2nd year will be paid. After successful completion of training period, candidates will be regularized in the regular grade/ pay scale  of  Rs.9160-3%-13150/- (S-3).

Age Relaxations : SC/ST – 5 years ; OBC – 3 years ; PH – 10 years ; EXSM as per Government Rules.

Selection Procedure : Written Test ; Interview ; Practical/ Driving Test (for HVD).

Application fee :

i) Attendant cum Technician (Trainee) - Rs.150/- for General and OBC Candidates (Rs.50/- for SC/ST/PH/Departmental Candidates)

ii) Operator cum Technician (Trainee) – Rs.250/- for General and OBC Candidates (Rs.50/- for SC/ST/PH/Departmental Candidates)

Mode of Payment : State Bank of India has been authorized to collect the application and processing fee, in a specially opened account No. 32549519300 at Sector -1 Branch, Bhilai, on behalf of BSP, SAIL. Candidate has to approach the nearby SBI branch with a printout of the “SBI Challan”.

How to Apply : Candidates are required to apply Online. After applying online, the candidate is required to download the system generated Registration Slip with unique registration number and other essential details and save it for future reference.
