Subject: - Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination, 2012 to be held on 21, 28 October and 4th November, 2012 — Intimation of Vacancies-reg.
I am directed to forward herewith a copy of SSC letter No, 3/4/2012- P&P-1 dated 08/10/2012, wherein it has been requested by SSC to intimate the confirmed vacancies for the post of LDC and DEO clear from all angles, for filling up from the above mentioned examination, to concern Regional of the Commission only and need not be reported to SSC (HQ), New Delhi, so that vacancies are not double reported.

All Pr. CCAs/CCAs/CAs are requested to work out the vacancy position in the grade of LDC and DEO for Direct Recruitment according to the relevant RRs/ rules and provisions of the rosters and intimate the confirmed number of vacancies in the proforma of requisition to SSC immediately under intimation to this office.

This issues with the approval of Joint Controller General of Accounts.

Compensation Package During Training :  During the training period, the Trainees shall draw a Stipend comprising of Basic Pay, Variable Dearness Allowance & Canteen Allowance. Besides, bachelor accommodation or House Rent Allowance is also admissible during the training period, depending upon the place of posting, as per company rules. The approximate Cost to Company (CTC) per annum during training is Rs. 4 to Rs. 4.5 lakhs.

Pay Scale after Training Period :  On successful completion of the training, the Trainees would be absorbed as Engineers / Officers with a Basic Pay of Rs. 16,400/- in the Grade-II Scale of Pay of Rs. 16,400-40,500/-. On absorption, the candidate will be eligible for Basic Pay, Variable Dearness Allowance, other Perks & Allowances, Company Accommodation / House Rent Allowance, Performance Related Pay, Leave, Medical Facilities, Provident Fund, Gratuity etc as per company rules. The approximate CTC per annum after absorption as Engineer / Officer is Rs. 6 to Rs. 6.5 lakhs, depending on the location of the posting.

Qualifications and Eligibility Conditions :

A. Management Trainee (Technical) : Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology (Full Time) (4 years after 10 +2) in the  Branches of Aeronautical / Computer Science / Electrical /  Electronics / Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production, from the Institutes / Universities recognized by appropriate statutory authorities in the country. AMIE courses by Institute of Engineers (India) are also eligible.

AMAeSI course from the Aeronautical Society of India, New Delhi under Aeronautical discipline, Grad IIIE course from Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai under Production discipline & AMIIM course from the Indian Institute of Metals, Kolkata under Metallurgy discipline are also eligible.

General / OBC candidates should have secured a minimum of 65% marks and SC/ST candidates should have secured a minimum of 55% Marks, in the aggregate, of all the Semesters / Years or corresponding CGPA Ratings / Gradations in their Engineering Degree Examinations.

Engineering Graduates in the Aeronautical Branch with minimum aggregate 60% marks (for General / OBC) and 50% marks (for SC / STs) would be eligible to apply.

SC / ST candidates should have secured a minimum of 50% Marks in both the Bachelor’s Degree and Post Graduate Degree / Diploma in the aggregate of all the Semesters / Years or corresponding CGPA Ratings / Gradations.

Age Limit : 28 years as 01.10.2012 (Relaxation : SC/ST – 5 yrs ; OBC – 3 yrs ; PH – 10 yrs)

Selection Procedure : Eligible candidates will have to appear for an Objective Type Competitive Online Test at  their own expense, on the date, time and venue, which will be mentioned in the Admit Card.

Syllabus and Pattern of Test :  The test will be of 2 ½ hours duration. The test will be in three parts. Part – I will consist of 20 questions on general awareness. Part – II will consist of 40 questions on English & Reasoning. Part – III will consist of 100 questions on the concerned discipline of Engineering / Finance / HR. The test can be taken in Hindi or English. Candidates will have to give their choice for appearing in Hindi or English at the time of applying for the post which can not be changed subsequently.

Centres for the Test :  Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Noida, Pune & Vijayawada. Candidates are required to choose any two cities as preference – 1 & 2 for Test Center and no change in any circumstance will be considered subsequently. However, HAL reserves the right to add / cancel any centre and allocate appropriate centre to the candidates.

Very Important :  The candidate has to download the Admit card from HAL website. Admit cards will not be sent either by post or by e-mail.

Educational Qualification : 10th Pass or ITI or equivalent. Candidates who are appearing  at  and/or  awaiting  results  of  final  examination  of  class 10th  on the last  date of  of  application  are  not eligible to apply.  Academic  qualification must  be  from  a  recognized  Educational  Institution  /  Board/University,  otherwise  candidature  shall  be  rejected.  Candidates  having  higher  educational  qualification may also apply.

Age Limit : 18 – 33 years as on 01.01.2013 (Relaxation : SC/ST – 5 yrs ; OBC – 3 yrs)

Selection Procedure : Selection will be based on MERIT only. First there will be Written Examination. Candidates to a limited extent, in order of merit, out of those who obtained the prescribed minimum pass marks in Written Examination will be called for Physical Efficiency Test(PET). Those who will qualify in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will have to go through the original document verification. Candidates who will found eligible after Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be called for Medical Examination of relevant standard as shown against each category of post at Page-1 of this notification. There will be no interview.

Syllabus for Examination : The question paper for the written examination shall be based on Class 10th standard consisting of multiple choice objective type questions aimed to assess General Knowledge/Awareness, Mathematics and Reasoning etc. There will be no question for checking proficiency in language. Questions will be in Hindi,English, Oriya,Urdu and Bengali.

Examination fee : Rs.40/- For General and OBC Candidates (NO Fee for SC/ST/Women/PH/minorities  and  economically  backward  classes  having  income  less  than Rs  50,000/‐  p.a) – The Examination fee should be paid in the form of crossed Demand Draft from State Bank Of India or any other Nationalized Bank or crossed IPO from any Post Office drawn in favour of the “FA&CAO, South Eastern Railway, 11 Garden Reach Road , Kolkata-700043 payable at “KOLKATA”.
