VACANCY NOTIFICATION
Filling up of 23 posts of Navigational Assistant Grade III in the Directorate of Lighthouses & Lightships,
Jamnagar, Mumbai, Cochin, Chennai, & Visakhapatnam
1 Number of Posts : 23 Nos. (Group „C‟ – Non Gazetted)
2 Pay Scale  : Rs. 5200 – 20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2400/-
3 Qualification (Essential)  : Diploma in Electronics or Tele communication or Electronics and
Communication or Electrical and Electronics from a institution recognized
by Central Government or State government
4 Reservation : UR (General)   : 12 Nos.
OBC  :  5 Nos.
SC : 4 Nos.
ST : 2 Nos.
Out of 23 vacancies 3 are reserved for ExService man and 1 for PH (OL)
5 Age : Between 18 to 27 years as on 31.01.2013. Candidates born between
31.01.1986 and 31.01.1995 (inclusive of both the dates) can apply.
For the Govt. Servant           i.e. upto 40 years
Upper age is relaxable as per Govt. Of India‟s Order.
3 Years for OBC i.e. upto 30 Years
5 years for SC & ST i.e. upto 32 years
For OH & Ex-Service man As applicable
6 Place of Posting : Place of posting at any Lighthouse Station including remote & island
locations under Jamnagar, Mumbai, Cochin, Chennai, & Visakhapatnam
Directorates, liable to be transferred anywhere in India.

Examination Fee of Rs.100/- for unreserved / OBC candidates & Rs.50/-
for  SC/ST candidates, in the form of crossed Indian Postal Order or a
crossed Demand Draft valid for a period of three months to be drawn at
any nationalized bank in favour of “Director of Lighthouses & Lightships,
Mumbai” payable at Mumbai.
