Advertisement No. 45/2012 -Last date for submission of On-line application: 14/09/2012 MRPL invites applications from final year Engineering students passing out in 2012 or
passed out in 2012 for engagement as Graduate Apprentice Engineers under the Apprentice Act 1961, in the following disciplines as mentioned in table below:

The mode of selection will be through written test and interview conducted by MRPL.
No TA/DA will be paid for appearing for written test/ Interview.
Reservation for SC/ST/OBC(Non Creamy layer) candidates would be as follows:- UR -11, SC-3,
ST-1, OBC-5. Reservation for PWD candidates would be as per Government directives
General Instructions
1) The period of Apprenticeship training would be for one year duration.
2) General candidates should score 65% marks in qualifying degree examination, whereas
SC/ST/OBC(Non Creamy layer) candidates must score 40% in qualifying degree
examination(In case of candidates awaiting final semester results are shortlisted and
engaged, their engagement will be subject to the candidate securing prescribed
percentage failing which the engagement will be terminated). Wherever CGPA/OGPA or
letter grade in a degree is awarded, its equivalent percentage of marks must be indicated
in the application as per norm adopted by the University/Institute. All the qualifications
specified should be recognized by UGC/AICTE.
3) For the purpose of eligibility, Percentage of marks should be the aggregate of all semesters
i.e. total marks obtained over total maximum marks of all semesters over the 4 years in the
Bachelor’s Degree Examination.
4) The short listing of candidate’s clearing the written test/interview of MRPL will be provisional
subject to the candidates obtaining the minimum qualifying percentage as mentioned at Point
2 & 3 above in the engineering degree examination and also subject to passing the medical
examination.
5) Stipend payable to the Apprentices shall be ` 20,000/ p.m.
6) The place of engagement as Graduate Apprentice Engineer will be at MRPL Refinery,
Mangalore.
7) The engagement as Graduate Apprentice Engineer is only temporary and shall not lead to absorption
in the company. MRPL does not give any commitment on providing permanent/temporary employment
to Apprentices on successful completion of training period.
8) All other terms and conditions of selection of Apprentices shall be subject to Apprentice Act
1961.
9) The candidates may note that the engagement as Apprentices is subject to registration from
Board of Apprenticeship Training, Chennai. 10) No hostel facility shall be provided during the Apprenticeship. The selected candidates will
have to make their own arrangement for stay.
11) Candidates sending applications by e-mail or hand delivery will be summarily rejected.
12) Management reserves the right to create and operate a panel of suitable candidates, for
one year from the date of interview.
13) Any legal proceeding in respect of any matter of claim or dispute arising out of this advertisement
and / or an application in response thereto can be instituted only in Mangalore and courts /
tribunals / forums at Mangalore only shall have sole and exclusive jurisdiction to try any such
case / dispute.
14) Any amendment/Corrigendum shall be hoisted only on the company’s website
www.mrpl.co.in Candidates may regularly check for updates.

Candidates are required to apply ON-LINE by logging on to www.mrpl.co.in ,
click on careers and click on following URL for application forms

application, online receipt will be generated which has to be downloaded by the
candidate. The candidates are required to send the acknowledgement slip with
affixed photograph along with Xerox copy of educational (from matriculation
onwards)certificates /caste certificate, to , DGM(HR) , Mangalore Refinery &
Petrochemicals Limited, Post Kuthethur, Mangalore-575030 latest by 28/09/12.
Applications send by email or hand delivery will not be entertained.
Candidates are requested to retain a photo copy of acknowledgement slip for their record.

Last date for submission of On-line applications: 14/09/12, Time: 1800 hrs.
Last date for receipt of documents along with on-line acknowledgement slip : 28/09/12.
